HOW TO GET TO LUGANO
BY TRAIN
From Milan - There are trains to Lugano (direction Zurich, Basle, Stuttgart,
Dortmund) hourly, at 25 past the hour.
To get to the Museum of Modern Art from Lugano railway station, take the
funicular (CHF 1.10) then continue with bus number 1 (CHF 1.60).
BY CAR
From Milan: Motorway A9 from the Lakes, Como-Chiasso direction or motorway
A8 Varese-Stabio direction. Advised exit Lugano-South.
Remember that driving on Swiss motorways requires a motorway sticker (fee
CHF 40.-), which you can get at customs.
Without the sticker, you will have to leave the motorway at Como Monte
Olimpino (second Como exit), to pass customs at Ponte Chiasso (2 Km from the
motorway exit) and then follow the Cantonal Road to Lugano.
The Central Park multi-level car park is available near the Museum of Modern
Art, situated on the Lake shore, (costs about CHF 2.- an hour). Payment is
by slot machine and possible only in Swiss francs.

There are flights every day from Rome, London, Paris, Bern and Geneva with
Darwin Airline to Lugano Airport.
There is a shuttle bus service to the town centre synchronised with the
